This yarn takes you from January to december and it will never feel "same old, same old." This beautiful, upcycled yarn is created by women in fair trade co-ops by collecting the remnants of sar silk fabric accumulated during the truing and trimming of the manufacturing process. The individual silk strips are about ¾" wide and sewn end-to-end to create this one-of-a-kind yarn! Each 100g skein has about 130 feet. If you have allergies to metals, please be careful with this yarn! It does have brocade in it which can contain metal threads. Recycled Silk Sari Handspun Yarn – The Original – Worsted Weight 100 Grams/90 Yard Ball on Sale Today!

The original Sari Silk Handspun Yarn is worsted weight, vibrant, exotic and 100% made from recycled sari silk remnants. Each 100g ball/90 yard is wound for you, so once it gets to your door, you just have to let your imagination roam! This yarn actually gets "broken in" as it is used, becomes softer, and gains a beautiful sheen as you use it. You'll be amazed at how luscious it is to the touch. Knitting needles in size US 5 (3.75mm) will give you 4.5 stitches per inch. For crochet, use a size US G-6 (4mm) or a US H-8 (5mm) hook, depending on how tight you want your stitches. There are no dye lots, but I do recommend that you buy all the yarn necessary for your project at once, since I do separate by hues and hand pick to find the best matches for you. Dry clean, or hand wash or delicate cold cycle. If you would like to soften it up more you can throw it in the dryer on a low setting.
