Recycled Silk Sari Handspun Yarn – The Original – Worsted Weight 100 Grams/90 Yard Ball on Sale Today!

The original Sari Silk Handspun Yarn is worsted weight, vibrant, exotic and 100% made from recycled sari silk remnants. Each 100g ball/90 yard is wound for you, so once it gets to your door, you just have to let your imagination roam! This yarn actually gets "broken in" as it is used, becomes softer, and gains a beautiful sheen as you use it. You'll be amazed at how luscious it is to the touch. Knitting needles in size US 5 (3.75mm) will give you 4.5 stitches per inch. For crochet, use a size US G-6 (4mm) or a US H-8 (5mm) hook, depending on how tight you want your stitches. There are no dye lots, but I do recommend that you buy all the yarn necessary for your project at once, since I do separate by hues and hand pick to find the best matches for you. Dry clean, or hand wash or delicate cold cycle. If you would like to soften it up more you can throw it in the dryer on a low setting. Darn Good Yarn is committed to bringing you fun and funky yarns with purpose and connection. All of our yarns are hand made by women's co-ops in India and Nepal. The women who work for us are hand-selected for their skill and given a wage that not only allows them to become self-sufficient and provide for the basic needs of their family. When you create with Darn Good Yarn, not only are you making something that is totally unique, you are making something that you can feel good about.
